    Here's my Time.


    No dual-boot, only Windows 7.

    My Computer Specs:
    Processor-Intel Core 2 Q9550
    Mobo-Gigabyte EP45-UD3R
    Memory-Patriot 8500EL Series 2x2Gigabyte Sticks (4 Gig total) DDR2
    Video Card-ATI Radeon HD 4670
    On Board Sound-Realtek ALC889A
    HDD-2x650 Gigabyte WD Black Sata II
    Operating System-Windows 7x64 Home Premium SP1 (6.1.7601)

    Processor is overclocked to 3.4 GHZ with FSB of 400 MHZ
    Memory Timings 5-5-5-12 (CL-RCD-RP-RAS)
    Been running that way since I built it 5 or 6 years ago.

    Reboot time...[I'm SCARED!]


    I'm afraid!

    My POST takes longer than the OS.

    Does this time count while it's waiting for us to type in the password?

    I'm thinking of removing the pword anyways, so I MIGHT be able to lower it...

    Yes it does.
    I have the same board on another PC and the POST time is quite long.
    EDIT: Mine is the ASUS M4A88T-M, slowness must be a quirk of the 880G chipset.

    91 second for w7-64 bit on 30 GB partition of 40 GB hdd, with 2GB DDR2 RAM, dual core 2.0 ?Hz. (oh my gawd, people still use such ancient machines? )

    are you sure it is DDR2?

    I have been told that only DDR3 runs with Core i processors' motherboards.

    vague i know but this pc is fairly new to me and although i'd like to think i know the ins and outs regarding this stuff i'm quickly realizing there's alot to learn.

Time random after reboot

Whenever I reboot my time is random, how can I fix this? And yes, I've set it to the right time before rebooting.
