That must be a different machine than is in your specs.

I haven't updated my specs. My parents gave the Acer netbook to my relatives in Philippines. Me and my sister currently share the Lenovo Z470 and our old Dell Optiplex SX270 running Windows 2000.

    Good time Kelly!
How do you all have reboot times 30 seconds and less? My best was 52 seconds I think.

Wow, that's pretty fast Kelly. I have an Asus board myself and bios post takes longer to load than it takes Windows to boot up on my SSD. The best I can do is 48 seconds.

Well, its simple - you only need and old laptop with simple intel dual core proc t3200 2ghz + old ssd like crucial c300 64gb, and you can have this -

If you pc is better, but your boot time is higher, that means something is wrong, maybe nothing is broken, but your pc could be crap, i mean, high boot time, like 10 seconds, cheap and bad controllers, too much tweaking, too many programs in startup, your pc components work bad together. In example, my laptop, that i had before, liked very much to play with my external hdd - when i pressed power on button on my laptop, it started my hdd, then shuted down, then started it again, and then windows started to load, so some mistakes in that laptops hardware architecture adds like 10 seconds to boot time But laptop, that i have now, doesnt do that :). If your ssds boot time is higher than 40s, do a favor to world - throw your ssd into air and shoot it :)

My PC is not crap, see my specs. I suspect it's the long ASUS post time for one thing, and as Kelly said, Asmedia controllers. I have only security and a weather app in startup.

Gary, don't worry about it. nobody here, except maybe startas, thinks your computer is crap. Does it really make a difference if your computer starts in 28 seconds or 40 seconds? I doubt 12 seconds is the difference in a good computer and a piece of crap. Only someone who doesn't understand anything about computers would think that.
