Would be interesting to see the timing when one reboots from a RAMdisk. I'll try that as soon as I rebuilt my old Dell box.

Wouldn't that be volatile? IOW time would be needed to write the RAM Disk to physical disk at shutdown then read it all back again at restart.

While using native UEFI drivers over legacy OROMs, it seems using legacy OROMs works better for me due to the OS RAID driver 11.2 offering the best performance but unfortunately not usable with UEFI RAID driver.

Why is event 100 BootTime displayed as (MainPathBootTime + BootPostBootTime) and not (MainPathBootTime + BootPostBootTime - 10000) since BootPostBootTime requires 10 seconds of 80% idle time?

Thanks theveterans but I doubt it. Now if it were about 10 seconds faster... lol.

Here is some improvement with a better shutdown time of 1.8 seconds.
    ReBoot Time-9.png

Event viewer shows about 4 seconds in between ShutDownEndTime and BootStartTime.

Have you tried BootRacer? It's a free program that measures the Windows loading time. BootRacer also has a speed contest on their website. You may win it! Check it out.
