my reboot time has increased significantly since i installed 7068 (clean install)
on 7057, it was in the low 60's
on 7068, its in the 80-90's
i have all the same programs running so don't know what the problem may be
any ideas?
Okay, I read the AnandTech article on SSDs AnandTech: The SSD Anthology: Understanding SSDs and New Drives from OCZ and it got my curiosity going. At least enough to find out that Newegg has the 30GB OCZ Vertex on sale. So I gets me one with the 1275 firmware and throw it in an XPS M1330 and install build 7068 x64. Good GOD man, it's on the next task before I think of what the next task is going to be! ....LOL
This is just after installing. Nothing Disabled. Subsequent reboots have been getting a little faster.
Startup programs in msconfig: Avast, Nvidia display driver, Vista firewall control
Used the shutdown-speedup trick
I haven't shaved off the Windows services yet
