    on a dell inspiron manufactured before vista was available.. found on a pile of garbage shortly after most of the college students left for the summer.. spent $40 for memory and it's probably faster than it ever was running xp.

    I put the Kingston X25-M that was in my PC in it the other day. The laptop is about 4 years old but runs beautifully. WEI
    I changed the BIOS to run in native SATA mode and the SSD score is now 7.3

    Clean install of 7, but but it is half a minute slower than when my laptop HDD was nearly full

    could propably get it a lot faster but theres actually no point since i never close my cpu (sometimes restart after new drivers and stuff or powerfailure, but havent use shut down button once this year )

    edit2: gonna have to use my car money to get a laptop with RAM-based solid state drive
