Increasing Band-Width by 2O%
did anyone tried editing gpedit.msc and gain 20% increase in band-width, like in browsing, downloading and in up-loading?
well i just did, when i suddenly remember what i did on my XP-SP3 before..out of curiosity i just tried this tweak and see if it`ll work in windows 7 and it did...so i would like to share this simple trick.
here`s the procedure:
CLick RUN then START BUTTON and TYPE; gpedit.msc
This will open the GROUP POLICY EDITOR
Then go to: LOCAL COMPUTER POLICY then COMPUTER CNFIGURATION then ADMINISTRATIVE TEMPLATES then NETWORK then QOS PACKET SCHEDULER and then to LIMIT RESERVABLE BANDWIDTH.
Doble Click the LIMIT RESERVABLE BANDWIDTH.It will say it is not configured, but the truth is under the 'Explain' tab i.e. "By default, the Packet Scheduler Limits the system to 2O% of the BandWidth of a connection, but you can use this setting to override the default."So the TRICK is to ENABLE Reservable BandWidth, then set it to ZERO.
This will alllow the system to reserve nothing, rather than the default 2O%.
SO ENJOY and Have Fun...
just follow the images below with red circle....
