    Safe to delete partition?

I want to delete the recovery partition labeled TOSHIBA SYSTEM INFORMATION. I notice on it, it has a boot.sdi and boot.wim file on it. Are those important?

    They are from Vista SP1 x32 and I am on 7 x64.

    Hello Lloyd,

This recovery partition is used to do a factory restore of Vista back like it was the you first got your computer. If you do not ever want to or need to have Vista reinstalled, then it's fine to delete the parition.

    Hope this helps,
    Shawn

No, they are just to allow you to boot to the recovery partition with. To be extra safe, you should always backup anything that you do not want to lose just in case a mistake is made while deleting it. :)
