Are you in an administrator account?

When in a standard account, you will have to supply the password of an administrator to proceed.

I have this issue too, which occurred last week, after deleting things in my start menu, but not managed to resolve it yet. You can use "compmgmt" from search bar in the mean time.

Go to search and try typing computer management. That is an alternative method. See if it works.

Ok, then it is just a little problem. There is some coruption in the files.

You can try to correct if you are interested, by doing this. I do not think that it will work but

it will not cause any additional problems to give it a try.

Type cmd in search, do not hit enter. Right click>run as administrator>type sfc /scannow.

It may correct the problem. If not, just enjoy the OS.

That didn't resolve it for me.

It was my opinion that this was a small problem, and that the easy fix was the way to go. If it did not work the alternative method could be used (use search). One of the benefits of this Forum is that a number of remdedies are suggested and the poster is free to choose the one that he wants. In the spirit of those remarks, I offer this.
