    Access old vista recovery partition after Windows 7 ins


    i want to access my old vista recovery partition on my toshiba laptop i used to be able to access it throught the f8 windows boot menu their was an option to restore, now since installing 7 it is still their the option to access it has gone any ideas.

    When you install Win 7, this will be disabled.

    We might be able to help you retrieve the bootable files from Recov partition which reimage the HD during recovery. You can then burn them to DVD or run them from the partition.

    Go to Control Panel>Folder Options>View and unhide System and Hidden files. Now browse to the Recovery Partition in Explorer, post a screenshot back here of the full contents of the drive. Stretch the window full height to get as much in each screenshot as possible.

    Search the drive for an .iso or .vhd file, the most common bootable recovery format. Check the size.

    Use Snipping tool in Start menu, attach file with paper clip in reply box.
