    Mouse-over Selection

Hello everyone, I'm new here. I wish I had found you sooner.

I have 3 Win 7 nodes on a home network (two desktops and one laptop). In one of the nodes, I am unable to customize my Folder Options. I am locked in one of the selection options and its very annoying.

Ever since the first win version that supported single-click-to-select option in the Folder Options menu, I've preferred using that option.

In one of my desktop nodes, this option causes an immediate selection of the window when the mouse nears it's proximity.

How do I configure the folder options to accept single-click-selection rather than the mouseover mode of selection.

    Thanks,
    midnitejam

Hello Midnitejam, and welcome to Seven Forums.

It sounds like you may have that hover to activate (mouseover) option enabled. See if turning it off may help.

    Hope this helps,

    Hello Brink,
Thanks for the prompt reply to my SOS. And thanX for the welcome

I found a cure for my proplem. I don't know if it will apply to VISTA OS, but for WIN 7 ULTIMATE it is indeed an easy fix.......

    1. In Control Panel
    Select Ease of Access Center
Select Make Mouse Easier to Use
Uncheck the box for Activate a Window by Hovering

    Cheers,
