    Perfmon will not stop sampling.


    Hello all!!!
    I have already read a few other threads pertaining to this but it has not helped me.
    My performance monitor always samples at beginning of when I wake the computer. I have tried multiple things but nothing. I have even "unchecked" sampling but it comes back up again.
    Im sure one of you really smart have heard of this problem.

    Other than that, I LOVE my windows 7!!

    You mean it loads at startup? Uncheck it using msconfig or autoruns.

    Ok. Solved it anyways a long time ago. I hit went over to the system icons, hit control and shift at the same time, then right clicked the zone alarm icon. Select the select debug level, click off and done.

Hopefully this is very simple to answer. I can find the bit rate for various audio files, but not the sample rate/frequency of the files. Is there some way to do this with Win7, or do I need some type of third party software. If the latter, what free software would anyone recommend?
Perfmon won't disable sampling

Even if I go from the "real administrator account" and uncheck "sample automatically" from the Performance monitor properties, if I close it, then open it, the checkbox is checked again!! I get the feeling it doesn't want to let me disable it. I'm getting a HD LED pulse every second like a clock....
Perfmon and MSE

I was bored, so I ran a few tests. I noticed something odd... perfmon tells me I have no antivirus installed, but I do. I have MSE. The System and Security Action Center reports MSE is up and running, and I opened MSE... it is up-to-date and running in there, but the perfmon doesn't seem to...
