What is the correct temperature of a CPU?

I downloaded and installed a programme called 'speccy' and is says I have Intel Mobile Cure 2 Duo with both CPU's at 53C

Is this about right or this is too hot?

Hello Pandy,

That is pretty normal. If you are getting above about 70C, that is the time to start watching it carefully.

I am not crazy! I was somewhere in the settings and saw an actual temperature! Not sure if it was the video card or the CPU, but something was 49 degrees I think. Now I cannot find it again to save my soul!! Anyone know where I was?
