DST Log
I randomly run diagnostic test to check and make sure my memory and everything is going fine. Yesterday however, I was suprise to have gotten the following error:
2000-0146 Hard Drive Failed (or something like that).
But i'm able to boot up just fine and everything. So I checked for bad sectors and went back to run the test and got this error:
2000-0146 DST Log contains previous error(s)
So I can't rerun the hard drive test. I called dell to figure out how to clear the log, they did not wanna tell me. They said its because I have incompatible software on my hard drive? And I don't need a new hard drive I just need to reformat. So I did that and I still get the:
2000-0146 DST Log contains previous error(s)
I read everywhere else about the same error that was coded as 1000-0146 and they either had to replace there hard drive or use there warranty to get another because it wasn't booting up, or it was freezing up. I'm having none of those problems.
Does anyone know how I can clear my DST log an rerun the test to see if it was just a mistake? And do you have anymore advice?
P.S. After telling dell the reformat didn't work, they are sending me a new hard drive. However I still think the DST Log warning will pop up during the diagnostic.
