Delete from external drive

    Delete from external drive


    I regularly back up to my external hard drive. Now I want to delete some of the older backups but when I try to delete them, I get the message that I cannot delete because Windows Explorer is open and to close it first before deleting.

    How am I supposed to see the files I need to delete if I don't have Explorer open?

    I never had this problem before Windows 7.

    I never had this problem before Windows 7.
    May want to look into this and give it a try. Whenever making changes create a system restore point first.

    I have not used it but a member says that it works on Vista and therefore should work on Windows 7. In this area they are the same.
