Have you updated your BIOS? I saw an a BIOS download while cruising the HP support site for your motherboard.
Have you also tried Windows Update, you may be able to find the ACPI drivers on there if Microsoft supports your chipset.
My current motherboard is a ATI 690G chipset with X1250 onboard video. There's no chipset drivers for my motherboard but it all detects on first install with default drivers. For my videocard I have to use Vista drivers but all works well, ATI support says the drivers are compatible with Windows 7.
If you had came here earlier then you wouldn't have to upgrade you videocard, the ATI drivers I'm using also supports your onboard videocard.
