    Notification Area Icons - Deleting?

When your in the Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Notification Area Icons window...When you un-install a program the icon notification always stays in that window...like when taking off an antivirus for example.

Go to search> type notification. Then adjust the ones not wanted. It can be set to show only when running, so in effect it is gone.

Thats what I was going to say, you would have to change the registry, I would suggest that you do not.

    Hello KCINREBOK,

Resetting the notification area will remove the old uninstalled programs and items in there for you.

    Hope this helps,
    Shawn

I forgot about that, aint had to do it in Win 7 as I do not use it as much and its not the same set up as Vista and previous Windows.

I do however do that in Vista every once in a while along with the clean up Sidebar tweak too.
