    Setting up an processor alert

How would I go about setting up an alert that sends me a message for whenever the % processor time counter goes above 60%? and how can I make it so an entry is recorded in the application event log?

I am having issues with this as well. I have used perfmon to set up a data collector set (alert type) that should check if the processor usage is over 60% and I have checked the box to have it automatically log an event in the application event log. I turn it on and then run a program that is designed to eat up the CPU to test it (and I can see from the Task Manager that the CPU is in fact going over 60%), but when I open Event Viewer, no events seem to have been logged. Any suggestions?
    Thanks for your help.

    problem solved

    1. Go to control panel
    2. Then go to admin tools
    3. Click on Performance
    4. Click on Performance logs and alerts
    5. Then right click on Alerts and click new alert settings
    6. Eter the name as %processor
    7. Click Add button to add a counter
    8. Add %processor click close
    9. For limit put whatever percent you prefer
