    Automatic back-up?

    Hey there everyone,
I just got a new werstern digital 1TB external hard drive. I am going to set up automatic back-up, but i would also like to use this for other things. If i am fixing a computer, for example, and i need to back-up a ton of there files (lets just say over 100GB), will i still be able to do this if i have the device set up to automatically back up my files? And will it affect my files.

I am new to this area of technology and want the TRUE experts, meaning everyone here, to let me know if i can or not.

    Thanks,
    Ben

Yep, you can store files and stuff to your backup drive.

Unlike Time Machine (for Mac), Windows Backup does not "claim" the partition for itself. It is willing to share the space. It simply stores a folder on the drive.
