Sleep Issue-only monitor sleeps

I recently pretty much rebuilt my computer. I started with an hp e9120y and pretty much all thats left from it is the ram, processor and cd and blue ray drives. Now when i let the computer go to sleep or even when i go to the start menu and tell it to go to sleep it seems like all that happens is the monitor goes to sleep. I did the powercfg and it listed usb ports as the cause. I can change my power options from balanced to normal to high performance and it makes no difference. Are there any usb power options besides going to the device manager and properties for the usb and the power options tab. If not what else could it be. Is there an option in the bios for this?

First off make sure you have all the correct drivers: Automatically get recommended drivers and updates for your hardware.

Then, read more about sleep and hibernation here: Sleep and hibernation: frequently asked questions.

Let me know if this helps to fix the issue.

Cheers,

I have all the correct drivers, I made sure that the check box was check to automatically get the best drivers. I really didnt see much in the sleep and hybernation section. I did see where it talked about there being settings in the bios but i dont see where they would be. I know i seen sleep options in there like S1 and S4 is what my board gives me. Do you know which it should be set to or what the differance is between the 2?
