    Abnormal Memory Usage explorer.exe On Windows 7 x64>>


    Hi All Guys...

    i Have some problems with Windows 7 x64 Ultimate , if i preview some png icon files or Image files the explorer.exe taking abnormal memory usage about 250mb-280mb and it's not freeing up.... Only way to get it's free by logoff or killing explorer.exe...

    I did not these problems in Windows Xp.... I have Checked Windows 7 32bit same problems.... Taking huge amount of memory when previewing image files or video files especially folder contains so many png icons..... Plz help me.....     Uh....that requires memory to do that....Anyways your RAM usage is perfectly fine. between 30% and 50% is pretty normal. So yeah no problem to fix.

    Maybe using a 3rd party program to view your images, will lighten up the load on explorer.exe..

    I see nothing abnormal. What do you want to do with your 4GBs of RAM. Once you stop the explore.exe, it will stick around in cache, but that is "available" RAM. If any program needs this RAM, it will be thrown out. Have a look into your Resource Monitor > memory tab. The colored picture will show you how your RAM is being used. Anything in blue (dark and light) is available RAM. If you hover over the little color boxes, it will tell you what is what.

    ThankZZ All guys who helped Me...


    Another problem i noted is that when explorer.exe takes huge amount of memory,all folder icons will be self refreshing like blinking..... only way to get rid off that is by killing explorer.exe or logoff...........

    Guys one problem remains There is slight delay for windows 7 to enter Welcome Screen after showing windows 7 bootscreen ,there is some blank screen with mouse cursor for 5-10 seconds and then anotherscreen comes Please Wait and then only will show welcome screen.... Plz help me with this also... I have another os Dual boot Windows xps2 on another drive.......>>

    My specs are:

    Intel C2D e7200@ 2.53ghZ

    Intel DP35DP MOBO Bios Rev(0484)

    2gb Corsair Ram DDR2 800mhz and 2gb Zion Hynix 667mhz...

    All Drivers are most updated

    No i'm Using Random Wallpapers like automatically changing After 1 minutes...

    I'm using Kaspersky Internet Security 2010 9.0.0.736(a.b) with latest updates.....
