    Partition Query


    I shrank my OS partition by 20Gb to create a partition for XP (had to dual-boot for a while). I managed to sort out most of my XP stuff and can run it on W7 so I shrank the XP partition by 10Gb which i want re-incorperate into my W7 partition. Thing is I don't know how to re-incorporate those 10Gb into W7 without (obviously) affecting my W7 OS.

    Here's what I have at the moment:

    What I want is to 'add' NEW VOLUME to WINDOWS 7 (C: )

If I partition my Hard drive can I install XP on one partition and Win7 on another if this can be done can I then use programs from either partition at the same time? I have old software that will not run on 7 but I would still like to use this software if possible.
Hi, Just read a tutorial on here about optimising hdd performance in w7. It talks about doing a disk wipe and then creating a boot partition using diskpart so you don't end up with the 'dreaded' 100mb (or was it gb) boot partition My question really is what was so dreadful about this boot...
