When you click run as administrator, do you get the option to give the Adm password?

Try it this way. Forget everything that you know about the CMD prompt. Go to my first post and start from scratch. Then if that does not work, and you did it all correctly, I suspect corruption.
Followed blindfolded. The result is C:\users\username_
If I might suggest ... log in to a different user account? If you do not have one, then create a new user account and test the elevated command prompt?

    Cheers!

    Hello Arc,

As a test, also try it with UAC turned on to see if that may be a issue.

    Hi Robert!
I created two new a/cs, one as admin and one as user. In both of them, there is no problem :)/ ?

    Hi Shawn !
I got the uac turned on, ran cmd as admin, and the elevated command prompt opened . So is it creating the problem coz I disablet it ? Does it happen in this way ?

Sometimes for some reason when UAC is turned off, it will cause issues with programs not "running as administrator" even when selected to do so. It would be best to leave UAC turned on to avoid this and for better security anyway though.

At least we found the cause. :)
