Windows 7: More RAM doesn't always amount to better performance

Currently opened 6 tabs and eating like 600 mb.
I don't think it's normal.

I think Mozilla should fix the memory issues in Win7.
I don't remember same issue in Xp or Vista.

Ideal paging file is 1.5xram. But if you have >3gigs make it as small as you can so you run out of ram instead of HD which is 1000% slower.

Page file is just in case

I have not changed my page file settings at all and I think by default the OS manages it and currently 4 gb is allocated though it can max out to 6 gb looks like which goes hand in hand with the 1.5x your physical memory dealiyo.

changing performance options doesn't save

Hello, Just righting in reference to the fact that I have 4 GBs of memory, but the Desktop Gadget CPU Usage says I only have 2818 MB. Any easy to understand explanations. Like to get to know the system better. Thanks for any assistance glennc
