Currently opened 6 tabs and eating like 600 mb.
    I don't think it's normal.

I think Mozilla should fix the memory issues in Win7.
I don't remember same issue in Xp or Vista.

What would then be the ideal setting?...
Ideal paging file is 1.5xram. But if you have >3gigs make it as small as you can so you run out of ram instead of HD which is 1000% slower.

Page file is just in case

    Hope this helps and welcome

I'm not that smart, but i suspect it is a percentage of your available HD Capacity. and by using the default value set by MS using some algorithm i feel comfortable that its pretty reasonable. if you have another HD try spreading your paging files over 2 or even 3 drives. if you have several windows open it may let your apps run faster.
    Cool... thanx...

I have not changed my page file settings at all and I think by default the OS manages it and currently 4 gb is allocated though it can max out to 6 gb looks like which goes hand in hand with the 1.5x your physical memory dealiyo.
