    HP Slimline - Graphics/Wei problem.

Hi there, firstly may i just say i am not overly computer literate so i apologise in advance.

I am having issues with my WEI and my graphics card in general, i was told (mis-informed) upon purchase that this maching would be ok for gaming, especially if i upgraded the graphics card. From searching google i can see its not so simple for the slimline. Can anyone advise in terms i can understand? I have attached my WEI.

I struggle to play games due to severe graphics problems.

(i have also attached the spec)

    Thanks in advance.

I don't know what system you exactly have. But, most HP systems are built around price points. So they do anything and everything they can to shave money off to make a profit at that particular price point. You want a $499 computer done, a $699 one? Done, but don't expect to be able to upgrade the 499 one later to match the 699 one, because chances are the Motherboard doesn't have the required expansion slots, and the power supply is probably too weak to add peripherals. Again without knowing what your system specs it's hard to say. What you can do is see if it has a PCIe 16x(preferably 2.0) slot, and has a power supply 400W or more (bare minimum 350W). If it does, you may be able to get a decent graphics card for $50-60 dollars or even more if you really want it to perform.

Edit another problem with the slim cases is they lack room to install a decent board even if it does have teh other prerequisites. Make sure to buy one that has the mini bracket, measure the lenght and make sure it fits lenghtwise too.
