CHK DSK find corrupt sectors and can fix those.

There is an easy way to run this.

    • Goto Computer, then right click on C and goto properties.
    • On the tools tab in the error checking section, click the button there.
    • on the next window, check both boxes and hit o.k.
    • you will get a prompt saying it cannot run when windows is running do you want to run the next time windows starts, say yes and then reboot the computer.
    • This can take a few minutes, or hours. Just as a warning. Hopefully that will help.

Please check the location of the member trying to help you. motc7 was hopefully sound asleep when you last posted. It's only 8.30 ish now so give him time for his first cup of coffee
Are you running Norton? If so this post may help throw some light on your problem.
