Do you have vista installed in C:? There is a 9.70 GB unallocated space next to C: but since it is to the left, C: cannot be expanded there using Disk management. Use Partition Wizard to allocate more space to C: drive.
I can also see another unallocated space about 20 GB to the right of D: drive. IDK how you have gone about organizing your partitions but looks like you're wasting a lot of space. In any case, since this particular unallocated space is to the right of D: you can just expand D: there.

i thought shrinking the space would give more to c but it just created unallocated space

how can i get rid of the unallocated space and give it back to c, i have to use partition wizard? and how do i expand the d drive as you said?

This is a nice tutorial on resizing partitions.

Resize a Partition for Free in Windows 7 or Vista - How-To Geek

If, on right clicking the partition, the extend volume or shrink volume options are greyed out, you'll need to use partition wizard.

As these are both system partitions I would advise the use of the Partition Wizard Boot Disk

Partition Wizard is a Magic Server Partition Manager Software for Windows Server 2000/2003/2008 and Windows 2000/XP/Vista/Windows 7.

Also because these are system partitions you will need to have your win7 install DVD available to perform a start-up repair after you have the partitioning completed.

there are step by step guides to using partition wizard on their site
