cant backup my data anymore?

ive been backing up my music and videos since i reformatted my computer. just recently, the windows activity center popped up and said that my backup isnt working anymore because it cant find my "Local Disk (D)" hard drive. when i go to set up my backup settings the thing can only find "DVD Drive E" and not my hard drive D as a backup location.

any help to fix this issue?

hello and welcome

try to run cmd and change your drive to D:\
then press dir /a
see your file backup in there or not.

i dont see anything in the dir \a about my drive D or backup

ok just make sure.

going to computer management > disk management

that's will show your partition drive there.

well i dont see my hard drives in there. just my usb and cd/dvd drives

Hmm, you got a bigger problem. If your drives do not show up in Disk Management, they are non-existant as far as windows is concerned. We have to first make them show up in Disk Management.

I know, but right now I am not sure where to start. Possibly some update or program you installed could have thrown this monkey wrench into your system. Do you have images or restore points from the time before that problem started?

Hmm, so we are pretty much stuck. I have to get some sleep (it is midnight). Maybe I get an idea when I am rested.

i think so weird this case. in the disk management not show up your device, but in your my computer that show drive C:
