Terrible performance on video playback
Hello,
I recently upgraded to a Windows 7 - 7077, 64 bit
I managed to install almost all drivers.
I also installed the newest drivers for my Nvidia Geforce 7300 SE
I am experiencing very very slow performance on all types of videos, encoded with different codecs.
Worst is on 720p and 1080p AVI, MKV, M2TS, MP4 etc
I tried most of the famous codecs. For now the best is Divx 7.1
I also tried with ffdshow2009, ac3, dts decoders;
also the recommended in this forum
Win7codecs_v107 + Win7x64Components_v115
still the same thing.
I tried most of the famous players.
It is slightly better if I decrease the desktop to 800x600
So on some videos I experience 2.7 fps !!!
That is 1 of 10 frames displayed.
Even the old style 1000kbs videos appear on frames
On xp all these were running fluently.
On my laptop (a much weaker machine) with Windows 7 - 32bit they also run better (although not as good as with XP)
I tried almost everything. And even with the fastest codec and the fastest player, and the worst settings, the performance is terrible.
Any suggestions will be wellcome.
Im feeling I ll have to go back to XP for the next 1-2 years ...
