page file only on system drive. is it okay?

    hey i am getting this issue with 7100 fresh install, the pagefile is set up exactly how i had it on 7057 but i get this error whenever booted into 7.

    my laptop has 7057 and that has the same error as well? no sure what is causing it as i said it is the same setup i had in 7057 without problems.

    I made a 3.4 gig partition in my second Phys. hdd only for the page file (2048-2048) , 4096 Phys. noticed slight imrovement like ~250MB..

    Should i shrink it below 3gb or leave it as it is ?

    some people think the rule of thumb is 1.5 time your physical ram size.

    You dont devide it you multiply it: ram * 1.5 = result

    so am i right in saying i have 4gb ram using that theory i would use a p/f of 6gb?

    Yes, that's the 'safe' choice that covers most situations fairly well.

    There are a number of ways to fine tune your page file setting, but they require a little understanding of how windows and your applications work and how you use your machine. If you want to delve further, see the link in my post earlier in this thread to another thread on page files.
