My COOLER MASTER Praetorian 730 has a door on the front panel as well, but I always leave it open. Along with the side panel, since my giant heatsink is too tall =\. It's a dusty mess after a couple weeks, lol.
The P182 pulls air in from the sides of the front door and across the screens. The Antec P183...has holes in the door on the front for pulling in air.

I'm running a Q9550 with a small overclock from 2.83Ghz to 3.20Ghz, on the stock Intel air cooler, with 8GB of RAM, and a 9800GTX+ video card and it's cool as a cucumber inside of my case. My CPU idles between 32-34 celcius.

Quite often having the sides of front removed actually interferes with proper air flow through the case and out the back and can actually raise temperatures. It's worth looking at.
