    Services. Which should be manual and/or auto?


    In our beloved Windows 7.
    Can anyone lists the 'Services' that is better to be set to 'manual', beside the Services that is optional to be set to manual. And why?

    not needed


    the genius of Win7 starts with all services not immediately needed being placed on triggers from manual. so there isn't any need to turn any off services except maybe Offline files if you have no need to synch any files across computers. if you are trying to claw back performance then the place to start is graphics effects (all sliding and fading, or aero for big savings) and indexing - uncheck from the disk properties.

Hello, My computer was unable to upgrade to windows 7. I am using a compaq presario notebook PC. The boot device ( CD ) does not work, the system recovery does not work and there is no "repair my computer" on the F8 option. I tried safe mode and it does the same thing as start windows normally....
