Altough I ride a pretty outdated machine, my graphics score is above most of your high end graphics systems. But I must say that everything runs just fine (e.g. Just Cause 2 runs smoothly at 45 fps).

5,3 Proccessor
5,5 RAM
7,6 Graphics
7,6 Gaming
5,9 Hard Disc

Somebody's thinking! Most people just go with the numbers. For me, HD performance and CPU are most important, because gaming for me is a half hour of Hearts! However, a good GPU is by far the most important cog in the system for most games.

Well done.

- yes, that is true..

my 60G OCZ SSD limits me to a 7.3 score over all..
- unclocked, the i965 gives 7.5 - I could easily boost that

I could also run my two SSD's in RAID, then it would top out at an even higher score..

- but is it really necessary - 7.3 is a cracking score..?
- most games don't require anything like that sort of efficiency rating..

PS: and yes, I'm mostly gaming on this m/c, at the mo'...

I strongly disagree with moving the pagefile off the SSD. This is a myth that has been busted.

I think moving the pagefile is more likely to be a way of prolonging the life the of the SSD
there are fewer in/out ops..

corect me, if I'm rong..

What people need to understand is that most pagefile operations are small random reads or larger sequential writes, both of which are types of operations that SSDs handle far better than HDDs. Reads outweigh writes 40:1 so it's not going to decrease the life of the SSD at all.
