I don't upgrade components to get a better WEI, but better performance, in this case for video encoding. Where the WEI RAM score is concerned, I had a 7.5 WEI score with 6GB, it remained there with 12, then after a clean install on the SSD lost .1. No matter, if I really want the .1 back I can change the memory timings.

Intel, AMD, OCZ, and others have probably seen better sales with WEI than without it, but I don't put much stock in it, there are better tests if one wants to benchmark components.

Must really hurt for your SSD to be your lowest score. I really can't feel sorry for you!

Lol , always seems to be the weakest link in any system.

I had the same drive in my old rig which was an older 775 socket mobo and it scored 7.2 iirc so I am happy its gone up to 7.6 in the new system.

    Cheers

Funny you should say that , as I just did a little bit of memory overclocking.

Not only has the score for the memory gone up , but for some strange reason the SSD has gone up a notch as well lol

    PP21,
Strong WEI ! To do much better will be very costly, so my suggestion is forget about WEI and move on to computing cause that rig will handle anything that you throw at it ! Cheers, the Cheese

Yup, those are some awesome numbers my friend. 4.6Ghz i7 is pretty cool, groovy, and peachy.
