Good scores. Now all you need is an SSD and you'll be in great shape.

I am sure your graphics card should score higher than that, make sure you have the latest ATI catalyst drivers. Also check your settings in catalyst control center My HD 5770 gets 7.4/7.4 at stock you should get more than that for a 2GB 6970 surely, Perhaps I'm wrong but it seems a little low. Also your Motherboard says 4 way SLI! is it also Crossfire compatible? if not your HD 6970 won't be able to have multiple cards added. If it is only SLI maybe the Nvidea 560 would have been a better buy. Just my opinion, but try the drivers and see if it helps your score.
If it is this 1 http://www.evga.com/products/moreinf...170-BL-E762-A1 Then it is only SLI compatible. (Not that 1 HD 6970 isn't powerful, just for expansion purposes).

Boosted processor score to 7.7 by changing default mobo memory speed from 1333 Mhz to 1600 Mhz (what my memory speed is rated for)
Looks good, is it time to OC that CPU?

I'll bet you can easily get a 7.8 out of it

Feels great. I know it's one of the old i7s, but I got it for a nice price off a mate, so thought I'd save myself a bit of money. The SSD makes the world of difference, which I'm sure you've seen with your SSD. Just a shame I can't put everything on it
    Sounds like a good deal.

SSDs are great, will be nice when they're cheaper than HDDs
Haven't a clue how to OC, tried reading up on it but sounds confusing, however when most of my warranties run out and I have a functioning bank account again than it's BBQ time Ha Ha.

Right now I am working on speeding up POST time and windows start-up time (58 sec now, 78 sec previous)
I've been trying to learn OC'ing and it so far has been real easy and a breeze with my I7-2600k. I'm at 4.5ghz @ 1.230v.

I used this Guide because it done with an p67 Asus board.....

It's working in with the Crossfire setup. But i have my video cards under clocked until i can get better cooling for them as they are air cooled right now.

    Yes you do.

If ever a system was begging for one, it's yours.
Even a small boot SSD, 60GB or you can do it with 40GB, will make a truly amazing performance jump.

Skip lunch, have a yard sale, sell one of the shotguns, family heirlooms aren't actually meant to be kept, extra car?
