Great Scores. You are probably right about the hyperthreading. Mine was at 4.6 and I get a 7.7.

Yeah, I figured clocking up wouldn't do much... if it wasn't at 7.9 already on default, then I probably wasn't going to see much movement.

Nice scores, were you running anything when you did the WEI?
Was the AV running a scan, maybe?

I don't think anything was running... but now that I've got an SSD, it's hard to tell? I can no longer hear the tell-tale signs of hard drive activity. :)

It's a fresh install as of last night, so it may have been doing some indexing... and I "may" have had a few instances of Orthos open, but I'm fairly certain they weren't running... it was late though. I'll re-run it today after running the dog.

It is almost impossible to get a 7.9 for CPU, has been done with huge OC and extreme cooling, N2.

If memory serves me correctly, you, me and A Guy build almost identical rigs... now we're just waiting on A Guy to go Sandy Bridge and harmony will be restored.
