First I want to make it clear that my Win 7 x64 desktop computer is a 6X improvement over my Vista x32 laptop but 6.0.6000 laptop does boot up and run for 1/2 the RAM allocation that the 6.1.7600 desktop does. I realize that you can't directly compare the two, but I just wanted to mention that Vista can run lite if kept lean and tweaked properly...

This is a digital photo taken of the Vista task manager in an effort to avoid using the screen capture tool which add an additional 20 MB of RAM or so.

Dave76- Thank you very much as Vista initially used 3X that much RAM at 12 hours into a session and it took a lot of work to get it to run this efficiently. I was very pleased to find out that my Win 7 desktop did not require nearly as much set up, but rather ran great 'right out of the box'!

When the processor's score is the same as the WEI then you know you've done very well!
