As soon as I put it in, and drivers or not my system freezes constantly. Take it out? No problem. Different card? No problem. It's just the GT220 apparently.

Also that's strange, since my onboard video is supposed to have it's own memory.

May be the GT220 is bad? By onboard video, I mean the graphics built in to the MB. A Guy

I know. ASUS said it has X mb dedicated to it, but I guess that's from the DIMMs...

The 220 works just fine in the vista computer over there *points*

    This budget build:
    Motherboard: $99
    Processor: $74
    RAM: $79
    2X HDD: $110
    Case: $70
    PSU: $45
    Fans/Cooling: $43

    Total: $520

Hmm... in an interesting turn, after two days of being fine, the GC froze in the other machine. Maybe it's time to get ahold of BFG tech...

BFG is no longer in the GPU business. I forget if there was still support for warranties on existing cards. A Guy

    Well #$&! me.

BFG Tech, once a primary partner of NVIDIA, is now denying RMA requests on dead graphics cards and power supplies that were previously under “lifetime warranty” as the business is being wound down.

Here’s the letter being sent to customers who had sent in dead hardware, along with their unrepaired hardware: (quoted letter)
I guess that I bought a card with a lifetime warranty for nothing, then.

H E double hockey sticks that ticks me the frick off.

I suppose I'll just need a completely new card then. Maybe I'll go with the HD5550 GDDR5

Just be sure the PSU will run it.

I hope my 650W can take it. I bought it planning on 8GB ram, graphics, and 4 hard drives eventually with room to spare
