Here is my updated Vaio Laptop score just after I installed a OCZ Vertex2 240gb SSD. My old score was a 5.9 with a 5,400 rpm HDD.
    Great lappy numbers

If you mean that your USB flash drive has 1/2 of a GB then no it is not worth using at all. But if you mean it has 5GB's then yes it will help. Ready boost is not as effective as adding regular RAM to your system. But it does help yes. So anything you can get will help. The only thing that RAM (Ready boost also) helps with is loading & running programs that is it. It does not help online or anything like that. It only helps run programs better. If you are not already using all of your RAM when you do things then you probably should not worry about it. But then again I use my ready boost also. I never really need to. But because I have it I do. Just in case it will always be there. About your Kingston problem. I can not help you. But I hope what I do know helps.
Thanks, But it is a 128GB Flash Drive, I could give 50GB of it up for ready boost if that would help. I only use about half of my 4GB of RAM at idle, My question was really does the readyboost being as it is on a flash drive (SSD kind of thing) does it work like the Hybrid HDD's, which has a spinning disk as well as 4GB SSD that boosts performance?

Holy cow 128gb usb drive, man that wasn't cheap! It should work dandy as a RB device. I can't speak for the formal in's and out's of how it works but I can tell you it will make a difference but don't look for mind blowing changes like a SSD drive would make, but if your not using all of that pen then give it a whirl !

I've never had any need for Ready Boost....I've never even gone over 50% usage of my 4GB of RAM.

yea I agree, My 4GB is always at 50%. I was just trying to find out if readyboost is similar to the ssd on hybrid hard drives.

I'm really not sure, to be honest.

My WEI has gone down from a 4.9 to a 4.3 now it is down to a 4.2 my system said it found new hardware to run my assessment again. When it did it went from 4.3 to 4.2. The first time I ever ran it. It went up. Now I installed this new hard ware the audio and video drivers. And it went down. Well my desktop performance for windows aero went down. But that might be because I put all my settings down in my video setting right. That would mean that aero is not really even running at all.
