So it looks like it is at spec.
Sygnus, sorry I was addressing diehrd. His sys specs list a 1055T and an MSI board. I should have stated who I was talking about.
Thought I would join the fun!
What does it take to get a perfect 7.9 across the board?
No need to apologize. I didn't take it that way. And I didn't know he had an AMD board. Had I looked at the specs I might have seen that. You actually pointed out something I missed
It's all good. No one knows everything, including me :)
@ society misfit, that 7.8 on that 2600K is looking mighty good. Nice system BTW.
Which model is yours?
They have used several different suppliers and controllers, some better than others.
Intel, Samsung, Toshiba, to name a few.
These controllers affect the access times and all the read/write times, then depending on the motherboard chipsets, Intel, AMD, Nvidia, plays a big part in all the above and level of Trim commands that are possible or not possible.
Then there is the IDE, RAID and AHCI modes available depending on the hardware and drivers. Marvell is known to be not as fast as Intel, at this point in time.
Some of the Kingston SSDs bench well and some don't.
If it's noticeable faster than your HDD and working well for you, enjoy it.
This core is really lively, I run everest benchmark CPU Queen, Refresh the page at 1 seconf intervals and the CPU clock speed can be anywhere between 3.4GHz & 4.0GHz. There are some bios settings for unlocking clocks, but is a fixed clock better than 1 that alternates constantly?
Very strange to me!
