We have the same SSD and the same SSD plan, my -V is going to the second HD bay on my laptop hopefully by the end of the year.

Any increase, is a good increase.

That Primary hard disk score is kinda low for those two HDDs.
Are you using AHCI settings?
Somethings not right there.

You will be very happy with a SSD.

If you put all of your personal data, files, pics, music, etc. on your HDD you can use a small SSD.
This is what I've been doing for years, data in another partition, so using a small 40GB SSD is easy for me.
OS and all programs are 15.2GB used and 21.9GB free.

It's a noticeable performance increase , I'll never go back to a HDD for my main OS.

I've been considering whether upgrading to a SSD drive would be worth the investment?

Is it really that much of an increase in performance?

From what I hear, yes.....everything opens almost instantly. But I haven't ever had the chance to try one myself.
