Thanks... It took forever but it's finally done.
It sure was worth it though. The Intel X25-V SSD 40GB is a very nice touch!

Thanks... I eventually want to get the X25-M but I can only afford the X25-V right now... The X25-V still rakes with speed though... I can only imagine the X25-M.

The X25-V is very nice, great performance, definitely recommended if you want to see what SSDs can do.

I'm planning on getting a Gen3 X25-M, when they come out, should be in the next couple of months, I hope.
Rumors have it they will be twice the capacity for roughly the same price.

Did see that the X25-V will be 40GB and 80GB, making the smallest X25-M 160GB, then 300GB and 600GB.
    Time will tell.

That sounds good... I would also love to see if they have performance improvements as well.

Nothing but rumors so far, Intel is keeping very quite about them.

This slipped out into the wild, somehow...

My rig is about 8 years old (though I managed to stick some upgrades in) so I'm surprised how well Win7 runs... It feels (haven't done any timed comparison) quicker than XP.

Welcome to Seven Forums najt. Indeed many have found Windows 7 able to run on hardware they ran XP on. Even when Vista wouldn't run well on that same hardware. I'm glad you have found Windows 7 runs so well on your setup. A Guy
