Might sound stupid, but how are you guys getting the WEI screen to show more detailed information about the system? Is this something only available with the Ultimate edition of Windows 7? I have Windows 7 Professional 64-bit and don't see an option.

Everytime I click on "view and print more detailed information" it just opens up a notepad and doesn't do anything.

I have PRO and it works.

You clicked the right spot "View and Print" so it should work.
Right OS, right spot to click.
I have no idea why it isn't working properly.

Try clearing the current WEI data and try again. The results of a WEI test are stored as XML files in "C:\Windows\Performance\WinSAT\DataStore"; send the contents of that folder to the recycle bin (better to be safe than sorry, clear it later if you want) and then run your WEI test again.

Not sure if that will fix it, but it's the only thing I can think of off the top of my head..

Just a quick question about the WEI
Why does it show Driect X as 10 not 11
when the dxdiag shows it as 11

That's a good question, mine does the same thing.

It is DX11, WEI is just reporting it wrong.

As I understand it, although Windows 7 has full DirectX 11 support, the Aero interface on uses DirectX 10.. Apparently that's why the WEI screen never shows higher than DX10.

I did exactly what you said, only to end up with the same issue. So, I saved this "notepad" to my desktop. I then right-clicked, selected open with, and opened it with Internet Explorer 9 Beta.

I was then able to view it. I'll attach the notepad and the WEI detailed information.

EDIT: Well, I can't upload it because .hta files cannot be attached. Maybe I need to reset my file associations. I checked default programs and .hta files are set to open up with Internet Explorer now. When I click to get detailed information Windows asks me what I want to do with the "Print Preview.hta" file: Open, Save, or Save As.

Anybody have an extra $215 laying around?
I have a $25 off promo code of price shown.

    Unnecessary but would be nice.

I realize this isn't the sales thread but most have been drooling over Airbot, Zyos and others HD score on the WEI.
