Actually I'm quite unsure if the HD3000 card series have already or not the downclock feature. I know the 4000 series does -- as I do have one, but if I am not wrong, the 3000 series should have the downclock feature too. If you open Catalyst Control Center -- suggest you to keep it even if you never open it -- then go to the Overdrive option (you may need to open Advanced instead of Basic mode). You should see a couple options, and at one of them, the Fan Speed. Check mine below.

If you have it, then unless you really needs to upgrade you video card, then you can save some bucks.

GPU and CPU overheating and overloading when the PC is idle.
Okay so here is the problem.. When i leave my PC idle (without moving the mouse), the GPU workload jumps from 0% to 100% and the temperature from 35 to 50 instantly. Same with the CPU.I don't have anything open when this starts happening except Open Hardware Monitor which i use to monitor the temps...

Hi I have been using the weather app on object dock and fine it ok for what I want to do But is it possible if I stop using object dock can I put the weather app on my taskbar in windows 7 please
cpu is overloading but no program are open.
i have noticed today that while in FL studio(fruity loops) my cpu usage instantly supassed 85 percent no programs where open but FL studio and firefox. I have sense then restarted my laptop. Only google chrome is running and my cpu usage is at 56 percent which is the max I have seen it so far while...
