    Slow system????

    Hi guys...
Got very slow system, new custom build computer. Almost evry aplication is a sort of NOT RESPONDING for a 1 second or less about every 2-3 seconds intervals.

    Motherboard: GA-890GPA-UD3H
Cpu: AMD PHENOM II X2 550 3.10 Ghz
    Ram: CORSAIR 2X2Gb
VIDEO: NVIDIA GEFORCE 9600 GSO 512
WINDOWS 7 HOME PREMIUM 64 BIT
    Kaspersky security.

All drivers are uptodate. No any major alternation been done to windows since it was installed. Cpu running at about 44C degrees. Cpu meter sometimes showing that 100% are used.

Will try to give more info if needed.

Where is problem? Is it cpu or some settings in windows or bios? Or is it something different?
    Thanks.

    Slow system as well

    Hi everyone,

I am also experiencing something similar to what Pavel has described. Essentially when I try to load an application, it doesnt do anything for 2-3 seconds or more before it starts loading. Windows 7 feels less responsive than Vista, and I just custom built a new computer as well.

    MB: P55A-UD3
    CPU: Intel i7 860
    RAM: G.Skill 2x2GB
    Video: Geforce 480GTX Fermi
    PSU: Corsair 750W
HDD: 640 GB WD Caviar Black SATA
WINDOWS 7 HOME PREMIUM 64 BIT

I haven't pushed the computer to its limits at all, example... I am running FireFox and tried to load a game from Steam, won't load or even show that it is loading for at least 5 secs or more. Had a less powerful computer on Vista and it responds to my load request right away.

I got all my updates done first day, and it still has these long pauses before applications would start loading. Any advice?

    - Just feels really unresponsive like there is lag when I double click something.

Same as Run command, type "msconfig" then Ok...! But i suspect all that being due to some latency in the system...and 1 or 2-3 seconds are not so bad, just annoying!

Could be Kaspersky Security...blocking the Apps when launches, because checking?

Maybe try single click aswell...one click less, might be more enjoyable?:
    Single Click to Launch freaks?

    ok....
So I did what Captain advise plus i switched off my Kaspersky security. It seems that computer is faster, no more NOT RESPONDING progs.
So now would say that problem is sorted.
    Thanks a lot!!!
