@ Karlsnooks

Ok, will do, but the problem is, my school requires an anti virus software and has a small list of what I can use (Avira, McAfee, and Norton). McAfee came with my laptop for 15 months.

Googs,

The link I listed includes references to the documenting source.

I've included those links in this post. You will see that Alivira performs well
in the On-demand detection of Malicious Software.

I get it, but my school uses Bradford Networks for internet use. You cant access the network if you dont have Bradford on your computer. Bradford wont install unless you meet the requirements, which having either McAfee, Norton, or Avira is one of them. I cant get rid of my anti-virus suite.

Googs,
Download MalwareBytes,
Download Avira which is one of the av programs approved by your school.
Disconnect from the Internet.
Remove ALL av, malware, firewall software that you have installed.
Install and run Malwarebytes per procedure given.
Install and run Avira instead of Microsoft Security Essentials.

If a search is typed into Google and clicked on, IE9 will not respond to its back button to return to the search results. Have reset IE9 to defaults, turned it off and restarted it, uninstalled AOL, removed all but Google from search providers, disabled all add-ons.

Google search results in blank window
This is one of those out-of-the-blue things that just started the other day. When I do a Google search, I'll get the first page of results no problem. If I click on any of the search suggestions at the bottom or click to go to the next page of results, the screen goes blank and that's that....

Star on Google Search Results
I guess I haven't been paying much attention but to the best of my knowledge, I don't remember seeing these stars next to Google Search Results. What are they for? I've searched Google for it but my results point to something Google that I don't use Nevermind
