    Hibernate does not work

I am using Windows 7 32 Bit on a Laptop.
Whenever I try to let my computer go into hibernate mode, the screen turns black and the harddrive light blinks for a moment. Then nothing happens, the screen remains black and the computer stays on/does not continue in getting into hibernate mode. After I move my mouse or press any button the screen turns on immediatly and I have to unlock my account.
Summary: Instead of goint into hibernate mode, nothing happens, but my my account gets locked and the screen turns off.
I looked at this guide, but it could not help me.

When I enter powercfg -lastwake into a command prompt after a failed attempt it says Aktivierungsverlaufsanzahl - 0 (should be something like activationprogresscount - 0).

Did you verify that the drivers are up to date? This sounds like a chipset issue.

I have an Intel PM965 Chipset, but i fail at finding the right drivers for it on the intel homepage... ok i think i found it...
EDIT: If i updated correctly (the intel page and the update programs are pieces of sh**), it didnt help. I updatet the Chipset with this.

You might need to update the "Intel Rapid Storage Technology" if you haven't done that already:

    http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Sear...Chipset+Family

"Select an Operating System" => "Select a Download Type"

    Scroll list then find:

    3/23/2010 v9.6.0.1014 Latest Drivers

    Don't choose the F6 install!

When I try that, it says: This computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing the software.

Did you choose the x32 bits for Windows 7? Looks those drivers are aswell for your Intel PM965 Chipset. Maybe update from your manufacturer site, this Chipset. Are you on switchable graphics cards?

You should fill your Specs in the "User Control Panel" of the SevenForums, that might help.

I mean on my laptop, i do have both Graphics Cards along the "Mobile 4 Series Express Chipset". There's an ATI & Intel GMA cards, and when for exemple i do unplug to go on battery powered, it switchs on the Intel GMA card...

Could be also trouble maker for hibernate the laptop if they are not set properly. Normaly it will set it during the install but better check twice...

    So, did it resolved?
