If you want to do better, you definitely need more RAM. I am running at 1.11GB right now and all I do is IE.

2 gigs of ram is barely enough for surfing and email. especially if it is 64 bit.

What? 2 GB is more then enough (even overkill) for surfing the internet and checking your email. I've been using 2 GB for years now with Windows Vista and now 7 without a hitch.
