    The Scheduler

I see unlike XP Win7 seems to have a massive windows scheduler with loads of stuff already in it. I hate things working in the background especially things I havnt called up. Is it OK to delete items in the scheduler or should it be left alone. M

    Welcom

You can disable any non essential tasks, such as maintenance.

I suggest that you disable defrag. Constant defrag can cause more harm than good and it is not necessary.

You are better off leaving them alone. Windows 7 is not Windows XP and the same logic you used in XP does not apply here.
