Lag and jerkiness is still there with those latest drivers. I'll give a fresh install a try

4 and 5 i notice quite alot. I cant recall this problem in the 7000, tho that doesnt mean it didnt happen. But its horrible in windowed mode, this could be driver dependant or game dependant, or a combo of both... i say combo, but it starts with the driver being used (nvidia) i believe.

Keep on testing and trying out stuff, i think your list will grow somewhat as you explorer (pun) around.

The right click lag on the desktop is down to the latest nVidia drivers.
Several people have also reported this on Vista as well.

thanks for the info. Only thing is, after install and a reinstall of these drivers after a complete uninstall of the 7 RC drivers and a few reboots afterwards even... now the Nvidia Gadget doesnt display temps. deleted, uninstalled, reinstalled gadget as well.

also to add about these new drivers.... i just now notice a small "rim" or border type gap around the entire screen now. Estimation of maybe 2 milimeters, small but was/is noticable when the background changed. Didnt notice this until then. I hadnt changed any monitor alignment settings or anything. Interested if anyone else sees this as well.

You are quite right it did turn out to be the nvidia drivers. After a format and fresh install the desktop, firefox lag disappeared. I used the graphics drivers from the install for a while as I loaded my games and apps. Still no lagginess. On windows update there appeared a grahpics driver update correctly listed for my 9800m GTX so I tried to install it. Installation failed and I tried it a few times. So I decided to try the latest certified drivers from Nvidia again and yup all the lagginess is now back.

I've not noticed any gap on my screen though, so can't help you on that one!

yea, after my haste and paranoia of the nvidia gadget not reporting temp... my ears went straight up... i think i may have been seeing things with the "gap"... but these drivers are horrible IMO... played older games and they were so laggy, online and single, fps and sports... it was just horrible... I ended up luckily creating a restore point before i installed the drivers. So all is well now... kick those drivers to the curb i say.

ive got a restore point as well, so will probably do the same.

On a positive note I've noticed that I no longer get kicked playing COD4 with Punkbuster on after a manual PB update. But it's nearly unplayable due to the jerking and lag with those new nvidia drivers :P
